"Sunday Morning Solitude"
Now Available!
I am very excited to announce the release of "Sunday Morning Solitude"!
This record was inspired by my Sunday morning ritual - getting up early, sitting outside with a fresh cup of coffee,
taking in the peace and quiet of a new day, my mind uncluttered with obligations. Eventually, I'd sit down at the piano,
and just let my fingers wander.
This ritual began while I was in school at the University of Minnesota Duluth, back in 1985. I got up very early each
Sunday morning, attended mass at the cathedral overlooking Lake Superior, stopped for a quick breakfast, then proceeded
to the campus to study. But, inevitably, I soon found myself drawn to the music department piano rooms, where I would play
the baby grand piano and compose new music for hours. "Sunday Morning Solitude" was one of the pieces I wrote during that time.
